Arnett Canyon | The "Most Arizona Trail in Arizona?"

Описание: Today we're headed to the town of Superior, located in the mountains east of Phoenix, where we'll explore one of the ecological marvels of the Sonoran Desert: Arnett Canyon, a place where a forest thrives nestled within volcanic rock walls.

Along the way, we'll talk about the history of Superior-- one of Arizona's most underrated outdoor recreation destinations-- as well as the Arizona National Scenic Trail (aka, the "AZT") and the "Leave No Trace" principles that all outdoorsmen should follow!

TRAIL INFORMATION: The Arnett Canyon Trail is an eight mile out-and-back trail, with roughly 550 ft. of cumulative elevation gain. Anyone capable of walking eight miles can do this trail. If you want to do the out and back, turn around once you reach the junction with the Telegraph Canyon Trail. Alternatively, you can use the Telegraph Canyon Trail to intersect with the Arizona Trail proper to make a longer full loop around Picketpost Mountain.
