Cook Time: 20 mins 🍳
Ingredients
For Potato Mixture 🥔🌿
4 potatoes (boiled & peeled)
1 tsp green chilli paste 🌶️
Cilantro & mint (chopped) 🌿
Salt to taste 🧂
For Kheema Filling 🍖
300 gms kheema (minced meat)
1 onion (chopped) 🧅
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 🧄
1/3 tsp turmeric powder ✨
1 tsp red chilli powder 🌶️
2 tbsp oil 🛢️
Cilantro (chopped) 🌿
Salt to taste 🧂
For Coating 🥚
1 egg
Black pepper powder 🌶️
Salt 🧂
Preparation Method
1. Heat oil in a pot, add chopped onions, and cook until translucent. 🧅🔥
2. Add salt, turmeric, and ginger-garlic paste. Cook until aromatic, then add red chilli powder and mix well. 🌶️✨
3. Add the kheema and cook on low heat until fully cooked, tender, and all the water evaporates. The kheema should be dry. Add chopped cilantro and turn off the heat. 🍖🌿
4. Mash or grate the boiled potatoes, and add salt, green chilli paste, cilantro, and mint. Mix well to form a smooth mixture. 🥔🌿
5. Grease your palms with a little oil, take a small portion of the potato mixture, and flatten it in your palm. 🖐️🛢️
6. Add kheema filling in the center, fold from the sides, cover the top, and press gently between your fingers and palm to form a cutlet. Seal the edges to avoid cracks ✨
7. Crack an egg into a bowl, add salt and black pepper, and whisk well. 🥚🌪️
8. Heat some oil in a pan for shallow frying. 🍳🔥
9. Dip each cutlet in the egg mixture and shallow fry on low-medium heat for 3–5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. 😍
10. Let the cutlets cool completely, then freeze in an airtight container or Ziploc for later use. ❄️📦
Make these now, freeze them for a quick iftar or suhoor, and enjoy! 🌙✨
