Hopefully you all are staying home as much as possible to keep your communities safe!

But, if you ABSOLUTELY MUST go out, these are tips I think would be helpful for you and your bags during this time. I’m staying at home for days on end but the places I still go (about weekly) are the grocery store, pharmacy, post office, some local restaurants for pick up (within walking distance bc I don’t drive!) When I do leave the house, I make sure to keep a face mask (or scarf) on me as well as a mini hand sanitizer, gloves, and hand wipes just in case. That calls for a slightly bigger bag as an even stronger desire for fuss-free bags with the least amount of hand contact as possible.

We live in a very strange time and I initially wasn’t sure how I would broach this topic because it has been so difficult for the world. So many people are struggling right now, and while I feel incredibly grateful for the amount of privilege that I have to be able to work from home, I also, with complete honesty, can tell you that there is some level of financial uncertainty for me in the future. This is really scary for us all, but sometimes we need a break. And right now in this crisis, I think my role is providing that break.

I hope you all are doing your best to keep informed (it’s super important), but we can’t be mainlining the news 24/7. I watch my fair share, and I have always loved the news and politics, but for the sake of normalcy and sanity we need a break from the bleak. I think in this time, we all have our roles to play and while some of you are literally out there saving lives and making sure that life in quarantine runs smoothly (essential workers are heroes and THANK YOU to you all!) For now, my role might just be to make distractionary content. And, if just ONE Essential worker during this time has a moment to watch my video and forget about what they’re dealing with for 13:24, then I’m happy with that.

PS re: sanitizing your bags, I think the best available option for bags besides the one mentioned in the video, I would also consider (carefully, of course!) using Wet Ones hand sanitizing wipes https://amzn.to/2zRCnVU Since these are designed to be used on our skin (I linked the sensitive skin ones) I imagine they are less harsh than something like Lysol…or bleach solutions (seriously...please don’t do that.)
