Welcome to 'Python for Data Science' course !
This video continues the discussion on sequence data types in Python by focusing on operations that can be performed on these data types. The lecture focuses on indexing, which is how to access elements within a sequence. The lecture also points out that attempting to access an element using an index that is outside of the range of the sequence will result in an error. Finally, the lecture revisits the distinction between sequential and non-sequential data types. It is not possible to perform indexing on non-sequential data types because the elements in a non-sequential data type are not stored in any particular order. This means it is not possible to use a numerical index to reference a specific element. Dictionaries are a special case, as they are considered non-sequential, but the values contained in a dictionary can be accessed using their associated keys.
