It is not possible to perform indexing on non-sequential data types because the elements in a non-sequential data type are not stored in any particular order. This means it is not possible to use a numerical index to reference a specific element. Dictionaries are a special case, as they are considered non-sequential, but the values contained in a dictionary can be accessed using their associated keys.
