On Friday, after serving the citizens of Arlington for 38 years, Officer Tim Henz #737 retired. Tim served the department in Patrol, D.A.R.E., Motors and our Tactical Intelligence Unit. Tim also assisted in ancillary units such as the APD Mounted Unit and worked to improve our Harold K. Elliott Museum. Tim's wife rode along to support him on his last call.
Tim has one brother still in law enforcement and another that recently retired. Having three sons in police work caused his parents to create the Shield-A-Badge program, signing up persons to personally pray for an assigned officer. You can learn more about it here: http://www.shield-a-badge.org/
Tim plans to enjoy more time with family, but still wants to serve his hometown as a Reserve Officer and volunteer with the museum.
