A Mombasa high court flamboyant lawyer Sheila Nkatha Muthee Has been charged today in Mombasa Court For defrauding a client Ksh 17.5milliond
Sheila Nkatha Muthee who faced over 10 charges was arraigned before Mombasa senior resident magistrate Rita Orara and pleaded not guilty to charges of stealing and issuance of a bad cheque.
The fraudulent lawyer will remain in Mombasa central police custody until tomorrow when the court will rule in her bond.
"Your honour my client is Mombasa based high court lawyer a friend to all of us including DPP even the lawyers watching brief for the complainant, kindly grant her reasonable bond infact a free bond because I can assure this court she can be available in this court any time she is required to appear".Disclosed her lawyer
The court heard that the flamboyant lawyer stole the money which was part of the money which were part of proceeds realized from the sale of property of the said crispy Ltd which she had received by her firm on account of the crispy Ltd.
Sheila Nkatha Muthee has been on the neck of many Mombasa court journalist threatening to sue journalist covering any case involving clients she is representing in Court.
