The CWL Method is a simple 4-step process to validate any game idea:
CWL Game Idea – Ensure your concept has a Challenge, Win state, and Lose state. That’s your game’s core loop.
Make the MVP – Use only one sprite or basic assets (like Kenney’s) to build a minimum viable prototype with sound, a menu, and placeholder art.
Test It Fast – Use mental, visual (gifs), physical (friends/family), or tested (remake-based) methods to validate fun and feedback.
Decide & Commit – If it feels worth it, commit fully. No new ideas, just go all in.
