Sometimes you need more control over the workbook you are working on. Creating a show/hide button is will give you that control. You can hide numerous columns with a simple click on the button. Isn’t that great?

This tutorial is an advance level tutorial. I will be using toggle button and Excel VBA for this task. Remember, I am using Microsoft Excel 2010 for the demonstration.

Let’s have a look at the step by step tutorial on How To Use Button To Show/Hide Columns In Excel.

Step 1: First you need to add a toggle button. To create a toggle button you’ll have to click on “Developer” tab and then click on “insert” and then click on “Toggle Button”.

Step 2: Draw a Toggle Button inside the workbook you are working on.

Step 3: Now Double click on the button and Paste the code (Please subscribe and here goes the code:   / 34608388  )

Step 4: Turn off the “Designer mode” by clicking on the “Developer” and “Design Mode”

Done. You have successfully created a button to show or hide column in excel.

NB:
In the code xAddress = "F:G" here F & G are the column name I want to hide and show.

ToggleButton1.Caption is the place where you need to add the button text.
