The makers of the quilt, Sherbet on a Cloudy Day, that won 2nd Place in the Large Quilts - Movable Machine Quilted category at AQS QuiltWeek - Des Moines 2022, talk about their quilt with Lauren Sullivant of AQS.
It is a 4-person quilt: Mary Reinhardt did the embroidery and appliqué, Nathan Carter did the small piecing, Dee Legvold put the quilt together, and Page Johnson longarm quilted it. They were inspired by embroidery designs by Sarah Vedeler. The group makes one quilt each year.
