Temperature-Controlled, Induction-Heated High-Pressure Fuel Line System for Direct-Injection Engines
This video presents a new engineering concept designed to improve fuel atomization and combustion efficiency in modern internal combustion engines.
The invention introduces a temperature-controlled induction-heated high-pressure fuel line system, where electromagnetic induction coils are placed around the high-pressure fuel lines between the common rail and the injectors.
By heating the metallic fuel lines through electromagnetic induction, the system conditions the fuel temperature immediately before injection without placing heating elements directly inside the injector.
The system uses real-time temperature feedback and closed-loop electronic control through an Engine Control Module (ECM) to regulate heating power based on engine operating conditions.
Potential advantages of the system include:
• Improved fuel atomization
• Enhanced combustion efficiency
• Reduced emissions
• Better engine performance
• Lower power consumption compared to conventional heating methods
The technology can be applied to:
• Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engines
• Common Rail Diesel Injection (CRDI) engines
• Passenger vehicles
• Commercial engines
• Power generators
• Agricultural and industrial machinery
This innovation has been submitted to the National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka.
