🚢 Getting to Nantucket:
We took the traditional ferry with Steamship Authority, which departs from Hyannis and takes about 2 hours.
You can also take the high-speed ferry (about 1 hour) or fly into the island via Cape Air or Southern Airways Express for more time on the island (and a scenic view!).

🍽️ Where We Ate:
Lunch at Brotherhood of Thieves – A must-visit spot serving New England comfort food. We had the bom bom shrimp, lobster rolls, clam chowder, and grilled salmon—everything was fresh and delicious!

Grab & Go at Stubby’s – Before heading back, we picked up sandwiches to-go for the ferry ride. We had cheese steak with opinions & peppers (YUM)!

🏛️ What We Did:
Walked around Nantucket’s historic downtown and boutique shops
Visited the Whaling Museum – Featuring fascinating exhibits, including a full sperm whale skeleton, scrimshaw art, and historic Nantucket lightship baskets.
🧺 We especially loved learning about Jose Reyes, the Filipino artisan who added the now-iconic carved lid to the Nantucket basket tradition.
🐋 Don’t miss the rooftop observation deck for one of the best views on the island!
