Dehradun to Chopta non stop return trip 28 hour on road adventurous journey with lots of black ice 🥶

Описание: 28 HOURS. JANUARY WINTER. HIMALAYAN ROADS.
And we chose to do it on the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.

We left Dehradun at 1:00 AM, chasing empty highways and the madness only night riders understand. The cold was already biting, but we had no idea what the mountains had planned for us.

Our route:
Dehradun → Rishikesh → Devprayag → Dhari Devi → Srinagar → Rudraprayag → Chopta

As we climbed higher, the air got sharper, roads got darker, and somewhere near Rudraprayag, we saw those mysterious glowing “eyes” of Chopta watching from the mountains in the distance. Unreal moment.

We took local mountain roads — zero traffic, insane valley views, pure rider bliss.
Meanwhile, our other friends trusted Google Maps… and rode straight into massive traffic jams. Mountains don’t follow algorithms — they reward experience.

Just 3 km before Chopta, traffic completely blocked the road. So close to the destination, yet stuck in freezing air.

But the real test began on the return…

Every turn felt like a gamble.

At midnight in Devprayag, while returning one of our bikes had a serious issue — the axle bolt came loose. In freezing temperatures, on a silent mountain road, we fixed the bike ourselves. No help. No garages. Just riders and their machines.

After 28 continuous hours of riding, frozen fingers, no sleep, and pure brotherhood energy, we finally reached Dehradun at 4:00 AM.

This wasn’t just a trip to Chopta.
This was a test of machines, friendship, and mental strength.
