Remember when the UEFA Champions League was live on ITV on a Wednesday?

This season we will recreate the 97/98 season, covering the FA Carling Premiership, both Manchester United's and Newcastle's adventures in the UEFA Champions League. Selected FA Cup, Coca-Cola Cup, UEFA Cup and Cup Winners Cup games. All games will be presented as if you are watching BBC Sports "Match of the Day" or ITV's newly rebranded "The Big Match."

We are referring back to the real teams and fixtures and transfers of the 97/98 season, so this is not a continuation of the 96/97 season we played through last year, apart from England's France 98 Qualification campaign.
