BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SPEAK, AS YOUR WORDS ARE IMPORTANT - Mar 3, 2026

Описание: We are looking at Joshua 1:8 today, talking about the importance of our words. And ingraining in us the Word of God. That when we speak, we have to realize the power in our speech. The world was created by the spoken Word of God. And he wants us to know that out words have power as well.

The Bible tells us that there is life and death in the power of the tongue. God says that if we truly have faith in Him, then we can speak to the mountain as tell it to move, and it will. Jesus spoke life from those who passed. he brought Lazarus back from the dead. And Jesus chose his words carefully, because had he just said "Rise," that not only would Lazarus have risen, but everyone around would have walked out of their grave. That's thew power of the word.

So we must be careful what we speak. And being in the Word helps us to focus on listening to God for the right words to say. Being slow to speak.

Remember when in you were in grade school and kids would tease you? You would go home and tell your parents, and they would say they are just words and can't hurt you. but that wasn't true, was it? It's because words have power and meaning. And the Bible tells us that the Word is sharper than any two edged sword. Speak carefully and with direction. Sometimes silence is the best option.
