Baltimore County Council members have approved a resolution urging the state to grant the county's inspector general oversight of the school district's $2.4 billion budget. The move comes amid concerns over the lack of transparency in how the funds are being spent.
"We have no control over it once we send them the money; it's over. We have no say," said Councilman Wade Kach during an August 26 hearing.
