I was in a sewing group once, and someone asked if it was possible to fussy cut with FPP. The resounding answer was no. I've never backed down from a challenge, so I discovered how you CAN fussy cut, and use directional fabric with foundation paper piecing.
In this video, I show you how to use directional fabric. You can easily fussy cut by using a light box to illuminate the fabric, under the folded over template.
Note: if your angles are acute or obtuse, you need an additional step. I'll show this in a later video. But this method works for template pieces that are folded from side to side, or up and down. There is more geometry involved, but this is the simplest explanation! :)
