By a simple twist of fate, two decades removed from each other’s presence, Frankie and Julia, former high school lovers and bandmates, meet each other at a busy crosswalk, seizing the opportunity to reminiscing about their youth at a local café. However, when the conversation shifts its gears from past to present, it’s revealed how much the former sweethearts and collaborators have grown — in some ways for the better, in some for the worst. Welcome to the Frankie & Julia project.

The Frankie’s Boyhood LP represents the perspective of the male protagonist of the story, while the Julia’s Girlhood EP represents the perspective of the female lead. Through the course of 15 tracks inspired by the finest artists of the 1990’s — the period in which the couple was together —, including Björk, Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails, the project is an exploration on the themes of youth, memory, love and the pains of growing up.

I hope to one day record the demos I’ll be posting on this channel in a professional manner and to relase them on both physical and digital formats (minus Spotify), which includes recording the vocals for the Julia’s Girlhood EP with a female artist. My plan is to start a fundraising campaign via Patreon or any other service like it once I garner a larger online audience for my work; hopefully, the posting of my homemade demos will lead me to my objectives.

For now, I hope you all enjoy the work I’ll be putting out over the next few months; even though they are mere demos, I’m very proud of them.
