Greve in Chianti - Tuscany Villa of 2 Month Italy Trip

Описание: Our home for 2 Weeks in La Panca, Greve in Chianti was little more countryside than the previous Italy Villa in Panzano. We found it on Airbnb with short notice. Our best memories are living at a slower pace in a different culture and surroundings. Lots of al fresco dinners from food bought at the butcher & markets. And of course everyday we cool off in the pool after sightseeing in the hot Tuscan sun.

Some of our favorite day trips (all within 15 - 20 min drive) was Montefioralle, Castellina and of course many trips to Greve for groceries.

1. Montefioralle - We celebrated the Fourth of July with American pride walking down the streets of Montefioralle the cutest medieval town known as the home of Amerigo Vespucci… an explorer from Italy & who America is named after. 🇺🇸❤️ They Also have an amazing Truffle restaurant which is a Must Try!

2. Castelina in Chianti - It feels as if we’re walking through a castle, but it is a small medieval town on a hilltop in Tuscany with cobblestone streets, walls and sometimes even ceilings. We wandered through the town looking at their art, souvenir shopping & drinking cappuccinos. Then at noon it’s lunch time… Cacio e Pepe, gnocchi and our Bistecca alla Fiorentina (Florentine steak). And of course & as always, Gelato for dessert.

3. Badia Di Passignano - An ancient monastery, a winery, and also a ⭐️ Michelin restaurant. We’ve eaten here 5 years ago with Amalin, so we had to try it again with all 3 kiddos. We both had the tasting menu w/ wine pairings. The kids had pasta w/ lollipops to keep them happy during this long meal.

Osteria Di Passignano Summer tasting menu:

1. “Perline” Eggplant cake, seasame, coriander
2. Crusted pie with white meats, liver, and summer roots
3. Gnocchi with Porchini mushrooms & marjoram
4. Guinnea Foul “Al Mattone”, Onion, Zabaione, glasswort
5. Cheese from Tuscany
6. Chocolate, Pralines and Sour Cherry
