IS EGYPT SAFE?

Yes. If we compare Egypt to let's say Brazil, I think it is very safe. In many places around Latin America you have to be worried about being robbed at gunpoint, car jacked, pickpocketed and much more.

In Egypt, you just have to look out for scammers, hecklers, gawkers, and people trying to sell you things or get undeserved tips from you. That is my very short answer.

IS IT DIFFICULT TO FILM? HOW WERE THE POLICE?
We did not have trouble filming at all. We were usually either with local friends or a tour guide, and they opened many doors for us. We filmed as low-key as possible, and we removed our microphones for the majority of our trip.

We also did not bring drones.
As for Egyptian Police, we truly did not have any issues.

Whenever necessary, I explained that I was an American photographer or YouTuber and they were honestly just excited.
