Описание: The D Series of Modules (D1, D2 D3) by E. Gary Gygax are some of his most amazing examples of classic AD&D Adventure writing from the Father and Co-Founder of Dungeons & Dragons, E. Gary Gygax.

D1 - Descent Into the Depths of the Earth and D2 - Shrine of the Kuo-Toa. The original modules were both published by TSR, Inc. in 1978, and the compilation was published in 1981. The adventures contained in the module are the first two of three adventures in the "Drow" series, which concludes in module D3 - Vault of the Drow.

The "D" series itself is part of a larger overall campaign of adventures set in the World of Greyhawk campaign setting. The overall campaign begins with the three modules in the Against the Giants series (G1, G2, and G3), continues through the "D" series, and concludes with module Q1 - Queen of the Demonweb Pits. The latter segments of the campaign, including the "D" series and module Q1, are set in a vast network of caverns and tunnels called the Underdark. The entire campaign was eventually combined into a supermodule GDQ1-7 - Queen of the Spiders.

"In the Presence of the Demon Queen" is the 19th song on BG2. It is an homage to page 21 of Q1 - Queen of the Demonweb Pits, Deck B encounter L The Phantasm of Lolth. The song has a loose quote of the text: "Welcome to home you have done very well so far. Now you have only one more challenge - to survive."
In the back of the DMG, Elric is cited as a source of inspiration. Called a landship in the Elric books, the Spider ship is an iconic reminder of the vastness of the D & D universe.
