A U.S. Army soldier is set to face trial for allegedly murdering his newlywed wife in August 2023. Saria Barney, an Alaska National Guard combat medic, went out with her husband, Zarrius Hildabrand, to celebrate his 21st birthday on a Saturday night and failed to show up for work the next day, seemingly vanishing from their apartment. Investigators, along with Zarrius and Saria’s mother, spent days searching for her without success and uncovered shocking evidence that proved Saria never left her own apartment.
