Buffaloes Cross River in Southwest China City for May Day Holiday

Описание: Tens of thousands of tourists and photography fans from across the country gathered in Peng'an County of Nanchong City in southwest China's Sichuan Province to watch buffaloes crossing the Jialing River for the May Day holiday on Saturday.

More than 100 buffaloes successively rushed into the river following the bell cow and swam to the Sun Island in the middle of the river. Tourists were excited at the scene.

"We came here from Shanghai just to watch the buffalo river crossing. That's a miraculous spectacle. We got up at 5 o'clock in the morning for this," said a tourist.

"I've been here to watch the buffalo river crossing many times and each time I had different feelings. But they are always spectacular. The river crossing is a perfect integration of the buffaloes and natural ecology, which is closely associated with the present ecology of the Jialing River," said a photography fan.
