HISTORY
The pubs date back to the late 1700s or early 1800s
The Three Pigeons was was an important nineteenth century coaching inn, and still has stables attached.
It has been disused for several years.
The Old Kings Head was a once popular town centre pub on the 'Chestergate pub run'.
It closed 18 months ago. Both were former Greenhalls pubs.
