Step-by-step simple crab fly complete with weedguard for Grand Cayman and other Caribbean locations (Bahamas, FLA Keys, etc). This is a great fly for those high-tide fish hunting for crabs over sand or mixed bottom. It sinks fast and has a defensive posture. Best of all it's super easy to tie; none of that fussy trimming yarn around legs like on a Merkin Crab. Modify eyes/weight to match water depth and wind conditions. I like to fish this one on windy days in slightly deeper water — blue holes along the shore, etc. NOT RECOMMENDED for shallow, grassy flats.
