LemoTetson's thoughts on the 2016 election.
Trump is still part of the "establishment" - just the pop culture wing. America remains as it is. Many of his stances, even (Israel, etc.) are fairly orthodox.
Sanders started a true movement with Millennials and others, is a legitimate FDR New Dealer. Will the movement be long-term?
Will the Trump movement bring over some (perhaps older) Sanders primary voters? Trump 's opposition to trade agreements like NAFTA and TPP, among other stances, put him in the same "anti-establishment" camp as Bernard.
The United States, though, at the end of the day, is about putting trust in your own ability to provide. No system can or will do anything for anyone. Have faith in yourself!

Couple of side notes:
Just to clarify, Trump had the most votes in two states just within the 2000 Reform Party primaries; Pat Buchanan was ultimately the nominee for the party. Interestingly enough, during that primary battle, Trump called Buchanan "Attila the Hun" and a "Hitler lover."
-Another name that Trump reminds me of from the past is George Wallace - anti-establishment, user of demagoguery, and not really an orthodox capitalist.
It's interesting that there's such a divide among Democrats. In 2008, most liberals were unified behind Obama; after he emerged and took out Hillary, it was over. Now, with more Millennials voting and social media being what it is, Bernie has the backing of so many who aren't fans at all of HRC. She seems to be good with various minorities, as well as people who are apolitical (but just political enough to vote), but it's fascinating to see the divide on that side.
