SVNIRTAR Students Win National-Level Group Dance Competition at OPAI Conference
Ahmedabad,Gujarat:
Students of Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR), Cuttack, brought laurels to the institute by winning the group dance competition at the National Conference of the Orthopaedic Prosthetic Association of India (OPAI) held in Ahmedabad from 6th to 8th February.
The students performed a theme-based group dance titled “Ek Vinash, Ek Vadh”, portraying a powerful mythological narrative inspired by Lord Shiva, Lord Rama, and Ravana. The performance symbolized the triumph of righteousness over evil and was highly appreciated by the judges and audience for its concept, choreography, synchronization, and expressive storytelling.
The winning team comprised Rudra Kanta Dixit( "choreographer" ), Rojalin Priyadarsini, Abhisek Yadav, Priyambada Priyadarsini, Mainak Parida, Sai Nistha, Adyasha Mishra, Aradhana Prusty, Mehul Mani, Priti Thakur, Rageswari Pradhan, Amlan Parida, Monalisa Paikaray, Swayamprava Tripathy, Sonalisha Sahoo, Sikun Sahoo, Biswabijayee, Monic Rimon Jena, Kaushik Patra, Priti Manjhari, Priyadarshini Sahoo, Prachi Aggrawala, Jagatjyoti, and Nidhi Kumari.
All the participants are undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics at SVNIRTAR. The team credited their success to days and nights of rigorous practice, teamwork, and dedication, which ultimately led them to secure the first prize at a national-level platform.
The achievement reflects the students’ all-round development and showcases SVNIRTAR’s encouragement of cultural activities alongside academic excellence.
