Jack Lin, a bonsai master, and teacher of 46 years demonstrates step by step how he prepares a 3-year-old Chinese Elm bonsai tree and transforms it into a beautiful Kokedama Bonsai Tree on a 100-year-old roofing tile from a traditional Japanese building.林芸萍是一位已有46年盆栽經驗的師傅，在這裡教導大家如何將一盆3年生的榆樹變成一個漂亮的苔玉並栽種到一片有100歷史的瓦片上。

Knead a piece of Epoxy Putty thoroughly for 3 minutes

Bend two pieces of aluminum wire into the shape of an "H", this will hold the tree in place

Glue the aluminum wire to the slab with the Epoxy Putty

Wait for the Epoxy Putty to harden (about 30 minutes)

Add a layer of Sphagnum Moss to the bottom of the elm tree before placing it on the slab, this will ensure that every part of the root has contact with moss.
在把榆樹放在平板上面前先加一層泥炭蘚在榆樹的下方，這樣子可以保持根部的水分

Tie the aluminum wires tightly around the roots of the tree, this will secure it to the slab
將鋁線牢牢纏住樹和樹根，這樣樹就會固定在平板上面

Add a layer of Akadama Soil, spray with water, then repeat
加一層赤玉土並噴點水，接著重複

Add a layer of Sphagnum Moss over the wet Akadama Soil, if wet, they will easily stick together

Add a layer of Green Moss by gently pushing it against the wet layers of Akadama Soil and Sphagnum Moss, it will stick easily. Use it to cover the wire.

Spray the foliage and moss to keep it wet over the next few days and keep in a shaded area. This will prevent the tree from dying of shock.
