U2 has revealed that the progress on their upcoming album is "somewhat tied" to the recovery of drummer Larry Mullen Jr. Bono, the lead singer, also acknowledged the challenges of performing without Mullen during their Las Vegas residency, describing it as "beyond the beyond of ‘tough’".
Since the iconic Zoo TV era in the early '90s, U2 has been at the forefront of pushing technological boundaries, from colossal LED screens to giant lemons and claws. Their latest venture involves the much-anticipated Las Vegas Sphere, an $2.3 billion, 18,000-seater sci-fi structure featuring 160,000 speakers and an enormous wraparound LED screen. This futuristic venue will host U2 for 25 dates until December, and its future plans include accommodating sports events, music performances, and more. Despite concerns about light pollution, plans for a twin venue in London's Stratford are progressing.
