Описание: A trip to the Skerries from Cemlyn Bay with the Macclesfield canoe club. A sunny day with light winds, neap tides and we set off in the last of the ebb tide. The outbound trip was pleasant with some swell but no issues in reaching the Skerries. A great lunch spot with 360 degree views, noisy birds and some seals. We left the Skerries with the intention of stopping at Ynys y Fydlyn. To begin with the crossing seemed to be going OK but as we got nearer to Carmel Head the flow and seastate increased significantly. It got to the point at which we were making no progress against the chaotic waves so we abandoned the plan and instead headed along the coast back to Cemlyn Bay. After a lunch break we enjoyed some rock hopping on the way.
