Over My Shoulder Foundation, was founded by Dawn Carroll, award-winning designer -writer and Grammy Award winner Patti Austin. Over My Shoulder Foundation is a unique media-based project whose goal is to raise awareness of the impact of mentoring both cross-culturally and cross generationally.

We celebrate mentoring world-wide, sharing vibrant stories that nominate, reward and celebrate mentors and mentees: Collecting great stories of mentoring allows our creative team to produce events that spread the gospel of mentoring,. Past events such as the MIDDIES, Designing the Next Generation and the upcoming documentary “Over My Shoulder” are designed to create a great sense of connectedness in those who feel disenfranchised, and connect those and heal broken spirits. Mentoring inspires creativity and creative minds will provide the answers to the many problems we face in this world.
