Pink Floyd Echoes David Gilmour Intro Guitar Solo with TAB

Описание: Meddle was the Blue Print that allowed Dark Side of the Moon to be created. The band had shed all of the 60’s psychedelic stylistic baggage and were now primed for the more honest and down to earth style of the 70’s. The band had also created one of the greatest live shows of all time with live at Pompeii, which most of the songs on Meddle were featured. People were able to see the larger than life image of this band performing these amazing songs. Echos is the 23 minute magnum opus of the album, and it also features the first Classic David Gilmore style guitar solo that would also lay the blueprint for all of Dave’s future solos on Dark Side of the Moon, Wish you were Here, Animals, and The Wall.

The first guitar solo starts with a mellow melodic blues sound which influenced the guitar solos on “Shine on you Crazy Diamond.” The second solo comes after the second chorus which has a similar sound to the intro solo. The third guitar solo fades in while the second guitar solo is still playing. I wrote out the TABS for both solos but I only included the more prominent parts of both solos in the video. The third solo also set the standard for a lot of the aggressive and reverie style guitar solos that the band performs on songs like “Time” and “Money” from Dark Side of the Moon.

When I’m listening to Pink Floyd I rarely pull out Meddle because I’ll usually go for Animals or Wish you Were Here, but whenever I listen to this album I always love it.
