The 20th episode of WIPO's Mission Imagination series features American scientist, inventor, and innovation activist, Gitanjali Rao. Named TIME magazine’s First-Ever Kid of the Year in 2022, Gitanjali has been using technology to tackle social challenges and create change from a young age.
In conversation with Lorena Rivera León, Program Officer, Composite Indicator Research Section, WIPO, Gitanjali shares how she became interested in inventing, why she open sources her inventions, and how young people can lead the way in solving some of the world’s greatest problems.
