Sacred Scripture reveals the cosmic consequence of this rebellion:
“And there was a great battle in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon…”
— Apocalypse (Revelation) 12:7
Here stands Saint Michael the Archangel, whose very name is a theological declaration:
“Quis ut Deus?” — Who is like unto God?
Michael does not defeat Satan by raw power, but by perfect obedience. Where Lucifer said “I will not serve,” Michael’s very being proclaims that no creature is equal to God.
The war was not a struggle of uncertainty—it was the public manifestation of divine justice. Satan and his followers were cast out, stripped of their heavenly place, and confined to act only within the limits permitted by Providence.
Tradition sees the fall of Lucifer echoed in every age:
• Truth rejected for autonomy
• Authority despised
• Service replaced with self-will
The ancient battle continues—not as a myth, but as a spiritual reality unfolding in human hearts.
