তারাপীঠ পশ্চিমবঙ্গের বীরভূম জেলার রামপুরহাট শহরের কাছে অবস্থিত একটি ক্ষুদ্র মন্দির নগরী। এই শহর তান্ত্রিক দেবী তারার মন্দির ও মন্দির-সংলগ্ন শ্মশানক্ষেত্রের জন্য বিখ্যাত। হিন্দুদের বিশ্বাসে, এই মন্দির ও শ্মশান একটি পবিত্র তীর্থক্ষেত্র। এই মন্দির শাক্তধর্মের পবিত্র একান্ন সতীপীঠের অন্যতম। এই স্থানটির নামও এখানকার ঐতিহ্যবাহী তারা আরাধনার সঙ্গে যুক্ত।
