In a candid interview with Serbian investigative journalist and OCCRP regional editor Stevan Dojčinović, we gain insight into what it means to report from his country. Dojčinović describes the deep ties between Serbia’s mafia clans and the political establishment, and reflects on years of investigative work in which he was surveilled, smeared, and branded an “enemy of the state.”
Protagonista is a podcast series hosted by investigative journalist and OCCRP regional editor Pavla Holcová, featuring personal in-depth conversations with top European reporters on the failures, challenges, drama, and absurdities behind some of their biggest investigations.
The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) is one of the largest investigative journalism organizations in the world. A mission-driven nonprofit newsroom, OCCRP partners with other media outlets to publish stories that lead to real-world action.
The project was created with the contribution of Dystopic Requiem Quartet and Árpád Soltész, directed by David Dusa and produced by Emilie Blézat (Dark Riviera & Sciapode).
