Cigar Smoking World Championship in Music City

Описание: Nashville is going up in smoke on Friday. For the first-time ever, a qualifying tournament for the Cigar Smoking World Championship will be held on U.S. soil. Darren Cioffi says, " I dealt in tobacco artwork for five years ago, before I ever smoked. But one day I started smoking cigars." Darren Cioffi didn't stop at making his own cigars or opening up Principle Cigars. The Brentwood resident went to Croatia to participate in the CSWC last year, where smoking slow is the name of the game.He came in hot...setting a new world record. Cioffi says, "Don't look stupid was my main goal and strategy. But I won and the rest is history." Now making history with Marko Bilic, CSWC founder and president, holding the first ever American qualifier at king jewelers. Bilic says, " I think Nashville is a pure American city." Cioffi says, " My fiscal year runs around Steeplechase, it's very exciting to see all these people I love I usually only see overseas all here at home." More than a dozen competitors are coming from different countries. The rules are complex, but the idea is simple... "It's a very small cigar that is smoked for a very prolonged time without reigniting." One rule is changing, allowing water instead of just dark spirits... Bilic says, ". If we only gave them whiskey or something strong then by the end of this would be a big circus, party, and we want to stay with the competition spirit. American are very competitive people and they always succeed ." Competition aside, cigars are more about... Bilic says, " A perfect tool for gathering the people together life is so fast and it's something to stop our moments and enjoy." The competition is open to anyone.
