Nowadays, the MTR operates a total network of 240.6 km, comprising 204.4 km of heavy rail and 36.2 km of light rail. Additionally, the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway (26.0 km), the Ngong Ping 360 cable car system operated by the MTR Corporation, and MTR bus services are also considered parts of the MTR network. Besides, the MTR also conducts operations in cities such as Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Beijing, sharing Hong Kong’s experience in rail transit operations.
