Описание: After having an absolutely amazing time on our homestay treks, we decided to rent a motorbike for 10$ on our last day in Sapa and visited the famous silver waterfall.

We booked our treks with Zaazaa Trekking. Zaazaa is a local female guide who lives in Sapa for her entire life. Her services are highly recommended in the Ho Chi Minh City’s Female Expat Facebook group. We can vouch for her excellent customer service. It was super easy to communicate with her over WhatsApp. Zaazaa is in high demand so you must contact her in advance at +841627852928.

The Silver Waterfall or as the locals like to call it Thac Bac is a 30-minute drive north of Sapa town. The winding towards these beautiful falls is incredibly scenic that you will want to stop more than once to take in the breathtaking views of the rice terraces and Vietnam’s highest peak, Fansipan. The entrance to the waterfall is on the side of the main road and there are also a dozen souvenir and food shacks lined up along the shoulder of the main road where you can browse for some trinkets or something to eat and drink.

You will have to pay 20,000 VND at the ticket office to enter and then it is a short 5 to 10-minute walk up a set of steep stairs till you reach the steel arched bridge, which is the furthest accessible point. Here you can enjoy impressive views of the 200-meter high Thac Bac waterfall as the silver water gushes down from the Ham Rong mountain peak.

After this we rode few kilometers down the road to Tram Ton pass which is the Highest pass of Vietnam. It is also called Heaven Gate. Standing in the middle of Heaven Gate, you can see the panoramic view of the vast valley below but unfortunately it was very cloudy during our visit.

Back in the town, we had our last round of Bia Hoi, walked around beautiful sapa lake, treated ourselves with the famous Sapa Hot Pot dinner and then had some absolute fun on these amazing rides at sapa Square before catching our night bus to Hanoi at 10 PM which dropped us at the Hanoi airport in morning.

We are Mayur, Gayatri and Om residing in sunny Singapore. Amongst us we have an Indian who grew up in India, a Singaporean ceylonese who spent decade of her life in Australia and lastly our son, a true born citizen of the mixes, half Indian, half ceylonese and very Singaporean.
Our videos mainly consist of mountain climbing trips, some solo journeys but mostly of our family of 3. We thrive with each others company on our road less travelled in our own unique style. We really love off the beaten kind of adventures, eating local food, meeting ethnic tribes, going back in time with some historical sites and simply getting lost. Being in corporate job for the daily survival, our dream here is to inspire people to explore this beautiful world and realise that there is more in life than just 9 to 5.
