Introducing ‘Building the Future’, a new series of interviews within our Oral History Programme, which gathers diverse voices from a plethora of backgrounds in order to explore Norman Foster’s work, influences and legacy in depth.
By including voices whose backgrounds range from business and finance to the visual and fine arts, the 'Building the Future' project hopes to speak to the long-standing and varied impacts of Norman Foster’s career.
To start off this new series, Sir Stuart Lipton relates his experience with the studio when he first met the team at their Great Portland Street office. Walking us through his collaborations on projects such as the Stockley Park Office, the Sackler Galleries, and the Millennium Bridge, Sir Stuart concludes by reflecting on his experience working with Foster and his views regarding his work and person.
