Dr. Ricardo Rosa talks about the success gap and racism found in high stakes testing in communities of color.
Dr. Rosa is a member of Save Our Schools, United Opt-Out and the Badass Teachers Association. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, an activist, writer, and researcher working with youth. He situates his work within the field of critical pedagogy, and is interested in the intersection of race, culture, language, and neoliberal capitalism within and beyond the boundaries of schools.
