Smoke covers Saudi Aramco refinery as two drones intercepted

Footage shared online shows huge clouds of smoke billowing above an Aramco refinery in Ras Tanura in eastern Saudi Arabia on Monday after two drones targeting the site were intercepted.
Saudi Arabia’s defence ministry said debris from the interception caused a fire at the refinery and confirmed that there were no civilian injuries. The refinery has since been shut down as a precaution.
Iranian missiles targeting an air base that houses US personnel near the Saudi capital Riyadh were also intercepted.
Saudi Arabia condemned Iran over the weekend for targeting Riyadh and its eastern region with strikes, warning it reserved the right to defend itself including by retaliating.
