To kickstart the opener, we got defending champions MI Cape Town take on the runners-up of the second season, Durban Super Giants. The Giants may have finished last the previous season, but they will be lead by the most successful skipper of the league, Aiden Markram, tonight. As for the MI Cape Town, they finished bottom for the first couple of seasons and managed to clinch the title with an emphatic win against the Sunrisers in the final of the last edition. History won't matter much now as the teams will be keen to find some early rhythm and right combinations. Both teams are filled with plenty of exciting international talents.
