Описание: Teekay Corporation’s new floating production, storage and offloading unit, Petrojarl Knar, departed the Aibel Shipyard in Haugesund, Norway for the Knarr oil and gas field offshore where it is expected to commence a 10-year charter contract for BG Group in December 2014.

With a production capacity of 63,000 barrels of oil per day, Petrojarl Knarr is one of Teekay’s largest FPSO projects to date and one of the largest harsh environment FPSOs in the world. The vessel features an internal turret, allowing it to weathervane a full 360 degrees and ensuring it will remain on location in the North Sea even in the harshest of conditions.

The vessel was delivered by Samsung Heavy Industries in Geoje, South Korea and arrived in Norway in September.
