Putin pledges to support Iran as German chancellor says US has been ‘humiliated’

Описание: Vladimir Putin has pledged to support Iran in its peace talks with the US after meeting Tehran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi in St Petersburg.

“We will do everything that serves your interests and the interests of all the peoples of the region to ensure that peace is achieved as quickly as possible,” Putin told Araghchi, according to Russian state media.

According to a report in Axios, Iran has offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in a new peace proposal to the US which would see nuclear negotiations postponed for a later stages.
