There is a lot of confusion on how to ride a bike with this front end, mostly stemming from being at a stop, turning the bars to make a corner, and what not to do next.

This is a video of riding a Honda Goldwing with the TMW Trio front end on it, with the Tilt Lock system on full time.

The secret to riding a Trio equipped bike with Tilt Lock turned on, is to turn the bars the direction you want to go; Wait until there is enough room for you to take any kind of action you may or may not need to take, then Give the bike throttle, enough constant throttle to get quickly and effectively above 10mph. And that is the whole trick to this!

The problems come about when people don't allow enough space, and they start to give it throttle, and start to go and get up to speed, and then pause, or let off the throttle, or hit the brakes just enough, then try to go again within the window of 5 to 10mph. During this speed window the electronics are making decisions about going from a released mode where the bike leans and counter steers, and/or flipping into trike mode, where you are up-right and turn the direction your bars are pointed.

When a rider doesn't allow enough space and gets caught in this window, and the system changes mode on you, you have messed up, and you are not in the mode you think you are, your bike is going to take you where you don't want to, which will most likely be into oncoming traffic.

The rules to riding are straightforward and easy.

From a stop, Go, do not hesitate, do not pause, don't let off the gas, just Go. Get up to speed, get over 10mph and keep going. When coming into a stop, balance the bike all the way to a stop. Don't expect to be held up, it will just happen, just ride like you don't have 2 wheels up front.

The last tip I have is lane position. Give yourself room, ride down the middle of the lane. Your ride is now wider than it used to be, always give yourself room to maneuver.
