Microaggressions in coaching spaces often feel small in the moment — but their impact is anything but.
In Episode 3 of Three Black Women and Their White Coach, we share the origin story behind this podcast and the retreat experience that forced us to confront what subtle bias, blurred boundaries, and performative allyship can look like inside the coaching industry.
We define what microaggressions are, break down the different types, and unpack how one comment in a car shifted everything. From tokenism in marketing to accountability conversations that never happened, this episode explores what happens when impact outweighs intent — and what true repair could look like.
This episode is not about canceling anyone. It’s about reflection, responsibility, and doing better.
If you're a white coach, this is an invitation to examine whether your spaces are truly safe — or just labeled that way. Are you open to feedback when it challenges your self-perception?
If you're a Black woman or woman of color, this is your reminder: silence is not consent. You are allowed to leave rooms that feel misaligned — even if you once believed they were the right fit.
