This Summer, two friends decided to commit to the adventure and travel overland from London to Istanbul, overland, avoiding flying, on a journey of joy, challenge and spontaneity. 5 weeks to get there, 1 wedding to make, minimal preparation, many good strangers met and a lot of stories a long the way.
This kind of journey is a fair thing for anybody, and when you are effectively a bobble-head on wheels with questionable organisational skills, zero cycle tour experience and all the added complications of a broke-neck-body (ramming your head into the bottom of a lake isn't often considered sensible) while trying to navigate inaccessible infrastructure across 11 countries, it's, err, quite the adventure.
Sharing case you, or anyone you know needs a boost to give flight free travel a go, with or without functioning legs. Seize it!
