We’ve partnered with BIMsmith to help you bring Permacon Masonry products into Revit more easily than ever. You can find the Permacon BIM library on BIMsmith Market, where you can search, filter, and compare building products and technical resources to find the right solution for your project, then download for use in Revit.

We’ve also integrated with BIMsmith Forge to help you configure custom Permacon Revit assemblies quickly and easily. Forge guides you through building a Revit assembly layer by layer, choosing from real Permacon materials as you go. You can create a new assembly from scratch or save some time by choosing a pre-built “system starter” from the menu to the left. Then, use the material browser to customize your assembly with the real-life colors and textures of Permacon products. Once you’re ready to export, click “Build” and your custom Permacon system family will be created on the fly and made available for export, along with key technical documents and data for each layer of the assembly.

It’s easy to apply Permacon materials in Revit.

If you downloaded an assembly from BIMsmith Forge, double-click on a view to activate it, then select the assembly. Copy and paste to your own project. From here, you can either create a new wall or use “Match Properties” to replace an existing masonry wall.

If you downloaded a Permacon product library on BIMsmith Market, just double-click on the swatch array view and select the material swatch you want. Next, copy and paste the swatch family into your project. Now you can modify each of your existing system family types to use the new material.
