Why do we need 'Landscape Leadership Labs' ?

Описание: Commonland runs Landscape Leadership Labs with local partners in multiple regions. A Landscape Leadership Lab (LLL) is a dynamic, long-term learning and action journey for those working to restore landscapes through collaboration, systems thinking, and deep connection.

More than a training or workshop, the LLL is a social innovation lab - an experimental, multi-stakeholder space where restoration leaders and changemakers come together to reflect, prototype, and lead transformation in their local landscapes.

Rooted in the 4 Returns framework and guided by the principles of Theory U, LLLs create spaces for:

Deep listening to the land and one another

Seeing the system and identifying leverage points for change

Developing new leadership capacities

Co-creating prototypes and solutions to restore the landscapes we call home

Forming circles of influence that drive impact over time

Each Lab is designed locally, hosted by a regional team, and spans a 2-3 year cycle with in-person retreats, peer learning, and hands-on experimentation and action. At its heart, a landscape leadership lab is about letting the landscape lead - and building a long-term movement for restoration, grounded in care, connection, and courage.
