Tamarillo (Solanum betaceum) is a member of the Solanaceae family of plants. Its a relative of the Tomato and is commonly called the 'Tree tomato'. Despite its common name it does NOT taste like a tomato.
It is easily grown from seed but plants grown from cuttings will flower much sooner. Additionally, plants grown from cuttings are able to fruit at a much more compact size, which is important for those with small gardens.
